You would almost think that BOINC is just Windows, Linux, Android and x86-64 based OSX -but that just isn't true.

I recently read that BOINC ver. 9 will be released soon. Maybe this is the reason why ver. 8.0.4 is still listed as unstable.

So far I've only seen new versions 8, 8.2.0 seems to be the successor to 8.0.2....
