Less than a day before this one kicks off. A chance to get our SETI RAC back up to scratch after the laurel sitting and Einstein crunching of the last few days.

It would seem the SETI website is on a go slow. I can only download WU's at around 3KBps!

Yup it happens quite often with me that. Fortunately the WUs are quite small so you can usually download just a little bit faster than you can crunch. Usually. If not you can have DisTRGen in reserve!Janos wrote:It would seem the SETI website is on a go slow. I can only download WU's at around 3KBps!
Anyway I've got 100s of completed SETI WUs cached ready to upload in about 20 minutes.

Woo Hoo!
It probably won't last but 30 minutes in TSBT are way out ahead in this challenge with little old me even more pre-eminent in the individual stakes!

Looks like all my computers have been starved for WU's, especially GPU tasks

Yes I can't get any new GPU WUs either.
Fortunately my 2 top crunchers have plenty cached. :)
As I predicted our lead didn,t last and we are now 6th of 10.
Admittedly it is a fairly elite field.
In the individual race things are a little brighter and I am off the top spot but still managing a splendid 2nd out of 1596 participants.
There are 2 other TSBT peeps in the top 100 - Janos at 34th and CallumC at 59th. 8)

We ended up 7th of 12 fairly illustrious teams. :)
I ended up 2nd of 1996 participants which I'm very pleased with!
Janos joined me in the top 10 (at 10th).
And our third cruncher in the top 100 was CallumC at 72nd. :)
So all in all a good result! :wav:

Really nice work there Mega. I was half expecting your initial high scores to keep you at number 1 for the first hour following which you would sink down the rankings a bit. A number 2 finish is really rather nice, especially so given the company.
I am shocked by my 10th place as I had major issues getting work. I had two GPU's with virtually zero work the entire 24 hours. I put my high placement simply down to being able to get more work than others.
