My ATI cards are now dedicated to the project, with a few remaining Milkyway to clean up.

Not at all. Our lead looks healthy enough just now but there are 6 days to go & to stay #1 we need to pull out all of the stops, hope that L'AF leave a few stops in and pray that the PrimeGrid big beasts don't join in until it is too late. Remember Sicituradastra and the Milkyway challenge?Silver wrote: Think we could just leave you and Mega to it, you two are banging in some HUGE numbers!!
So all hands on deck/stops/to the pumps etc.
In fact I might use my CPU cores for it. Every little helps.

A second day gone and we are slowly extending the team lead & have a firm grip of individual places 1,2 & 5. Crunch on - Merlyn would be very happy, in an understated sort of way.

"Quite by chance, the Collatz challenge being over, I had opened my PC s to New Work for primegrid with very pleasing results on the NVidea equiped rigs. Holding 1st and 2nd, seems 5th has gone as Janos has quit or has issues. Keep crunching everyone till our MIA colleague recovers
5 of us in the top 25 and Paul not that far from joining that number.
10 of us in the top 100.

One of my rigs was giving off an unpleasant plastic-about-to-spontaneously-ignite smell a few days ago: opening the case and training a cheap but noisy 40cm Staples fan on the problem has allayed all my concerns.

2 days to go and we are in the lead by 3.6 million. :wav: Unless one of the big 3 teams joins in by morning we will probably win this!
If this happy situation endures until this time tomorrow you should all be thinking of a rapid switch over to Collatz.

Already got the ATI on collatz, though since I am finally home from being tortured, assessed and found to be as stubborn and jiggly as last year, released for my holidays to begin this can be switched back if required. :)
Apparently after years of abuse I am still....well upright

most of my machines are on their last few Primegrid WUs These I am sure will be enough to carry the team and little old moi to victory regardless of what the next 25 hrs brings. For most of tomorrow I will be stockpiling Collatz WU and getting the Red Bull in, ready for that 0201 dump!

I've got to try and clear out a ton of units to prepare for a punt at collatz. never ran this one seriously so no idea what to expect. Seems to be the solo units pay the best so will try and concentrate on them for the challenge , that's if I win the next 24 hrs battle with the scheduler........
