I'm going to wait and see how milkyway goes, so far it could be my best competition finish :)
Not sure I have the capacity to do two competitions :(

Bloody rude to call a GPU challenge at the last moment whilst another one is running. I think I will stick with Milkyway mainly to fly the flag and try and maintain my top 10. Realistically the team is as high as it will go so just a case of keeping it there, helped out by Radio and Iain plus a few others :D
On this Mega and Janos should be helped out ably by CycloneRanger, darren, BusterGunn and Andy Manzie to name a few so should do very well without me and Paul if you stick to MW :D

Collatz solo validator back online. You guys should have some fun now :D Normal collatz and solo's also working fine. Still 3 days on Collatz is better than 1 day on Seti I think :?

Too true!

And yip I'm quite happy to continue with milkyway for team glory etc
Although I think I could probably miss the last day or so and keep 12th spot as I have a bit of breathing room below :)

Machine set to work on milkyway & collaz for the time being, with a supplemental Einstein to use the spare cpu cores.

22 hours in and we are in first place, 1.6 million ahead of L'AF! :D 8)

Janos is individual first place and I'm second with lots of other solid performances being turned in.
Validation is a bit ropey still and my mighty bunkering effort has gone largely unrewarded - I've got 434 unvalidated units worth at least 3 million credits. So look out Janos, unless you've got even more waiting to be cashed!

No bunkering on my part. It would appear the validator was working in my favour though!

Quite surprised to see us out there with no competition, I guess the big GPU users are busy with other things.

Well that's even more impressive
You dropped almost 4 million credits at the start, I thought you must've been salting units away for a day or two.
That herd of 7970s are obviously working well for you Janos :D
Keep up the good work :thumbright:

Transitioner backlog (hours) 20 down from 26. If it looks like it will clear before the challenge ends I will jump in to help.

The backlog isn't as bad as it was. I've got a mere 357 unvalidated WU left. If these all get validated in the next 27 hours we could be in with a chance of beating the French, who are not that far ahead. Likewise I'm on Janos' tail.

Less than 20k units to validate , coming down fast. I guess my 8th in Milkyway is about to go.... and SetiUSA are about to fly past like some scalded cats anyway :( A few rounds incoming of anti amphibian ammo :D

Thanks PinkPenguin, I have been lurking around but not contributing so much due to farcical work/life balance

Hi Janos, nice to meet you too.

I'll need to get on the forums some time to speak to you all about how best to setup machines for bionic. It seems that people with similar gear can get far more RAC out than I can. I must be doing something wrong.

Puter has been diverted onto Collaz alone for the last hurrah (too little too late no doubt).

...never could get the hang of the work/life balance thing (all I know is that it doesn't help to be sane around here where I live). I hope you get it sorted. 8)

Meantime, I am sure the pirates will help you out with the Boinc optimisations when they've finished looting marmalade sandwiches in Peru. :D

Looting is hungry business! Image
I to diverted over from Milkyway, so far @ 1 million added but the 300 pendings is not helping. Only 1 1/2 hrs to go. 3rd I guess it is without a validator miracle. Guess it's a bunker for the next one.
Hi Radio, nice to see a lurker step out of the shadows. Welcome onboard. Image

Well done everyone!

On a personal note, I need to thank the server-side cached work units! Without that glitch in the system I would have been around 5th.
