Looks like we're in the middle of a battle for 3rd to 5th places with our French chums and the Knights.
Be interesting to see how we all get on, of course getting units to validate would be helpful but I presume everyone will be in the same boat.
My teammates towards the top of the leader board are putting in some impressive performances, keep up the good work :bounce:

I've over 2M waiting for validation :( With the way the validator is, it's hard to get a true picture of where we lie. Hopefully all will become a bit clearer soon.... and of course that we are in 3rd :D

Well we're currently in third :D
I suppose time will tell if we have actually manage to overtake the Knights or the validator was just being nicer to us for a bit :?

With the work creation disabled, there as only 12k solo tasks left on the server. Might be an idea to check that your account allows other units ie collatz and mini be downloaded if no tasks available for solo, as I suspect they will all be gone soon. Back to wingmen I fear :(

That would probably make sense Alez but I hope that if I'm reading this right we should be okay for solo units - http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/fo ... 8105#18105

looking at the server status page http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/server_status.php at the mo there is only 11k solo units left . If your preferences is set to only receive solo, then when they are gone you will be idle.

Well my 590GTX seems to have died also!
Before it expired it let me upload an awful lot of completed work.
As a result the French are not that close: 3.4 million in it with 41 hours left to run. We can beat them & end 3rd!

4th would be a very nice position for us! But with Alez in sickbay...

Rumors of my demise have (hopefully) been over stated. Orac decided ( or more correctly windoze decided ) that it didn't want to play at collatz anymore, so went home and shut the door. A few kicks later and it should be back in the play park. Of course Caro, not to be outdone, decided that it didn't want to play at collatz either, so buggered off to play with moo! Probably because collatz ran out of solo's and every normal collatz it tried errorred. Why ? who knows ?

I hope Mega's 590 isn't terminal :( but the 3.4 million gives us a cushion to hold on to. We are facing serious adversity here, but we can not falter in the face of the amphibians.... crunch on all.Image

18 hours left. But the margin is slashed to just 1.5 million.
Anyhoo I've got the Gtx590 back on stream which might well be enough to save us. 8)

Well that was a reliability shocker. For unknown reasons my ATI started taking 1 hr per unit for the last 12hrs. Something is rotten in the land of Windoze. If I could get the Intel to run under Linux, I'm afraid win 7 would be history...... any hoo we got there in the end.

TSBT finished 3rd from 13, ahead of the Knights and LAF, a major achievement. Yeah go us :D

Individually

Megacruncher TSBT 7th despite loosing a GPU behind the sofa somewhere....
Janos of TSBT 10th despite plain sailing, lucky barstool :P
alez [ TSBT's Pirate ] 13th..... 13th? explains why I was running out of digits to plug the leaks
Paul of TSBT 23rd because of the new shiny stuff :D
CycloneRanger 32nd smooth crunching now the 2 cards are a go. Soon to be 9 digits in team list
Andy Manzie 45th
darren 55th
DonTex 82nd
Radio 93rd
Gary mC [TSBT] 107th a welcome return to the top of the leaderboard. Now I just have to catch you :D
akinsman 141st
Skywalker TSBT 148th the king of cpu crunching 8)
john.mclean@d-tacq.co.uk 160th ( had to check this wasn't seti, but then you would have been way ahead of me :D )
PinkPenguin 204th skulking...worries me when he skulks..... :P
Grant 223rd
Andrew Beith 228th
DJPercival 263rd
Allan McBain 287th
captinkid 334th
MarkRBright 355th

a few new names to me, welcome all and again a great effort. Looking through the competitors we were heavily outnumbered.

Or if not I have my old 5750 that could be used elsewhere - 100k+ per day....

Unfortunately the PC's I'm using won't take the board... They're basically a junk yard more than anything else... If the parallela stuff comes out I might try something but until then economics and time prevents me from doing anything serious. I'll just have to settle for trying to sneak up on Mega when he's not paying attention in certain projects. :D
