Now the BoincSIMAP has been postponed we should consider giving this some stick - a good use of all our Android devices if nothing else.
Let the bunkering begin!

Does Enigma have much lag time between completed task and credit awarded?

Not particularly. And with a 7 day comp that would not be a big issue anyway.

Expected bigger teams coming. Is it fair to say we & I held first for a while :)
Me thinks Megacruncher is holding a stash. Must be waiting for his coffee to kick in.

Any optimization that can be done for Enigma? What does changing Max frames/sec affect?

#10 Re: 2/6-9/6 Enigma@Home challenge
As far as I am aware there is no way to optimize this project other than to run more cores or overclock the cpu. I think the max frame is just standard to boinc , for projects that have a screen saver. I believe it does nothing here ( or at least not that I could find ).
We are back in 5th now, the hordes of amphibians having passed us again. We need more people on this really
Any volunteers ?

Scotties, we need more power!
Anyone ever watched a clips of how some of the scenes on the original TV series where shot? Here's a short clip of a scene where the crew on the bridge gets tossed around after some confrontation, perhaps with the Klingons... or the French
It shows the scene with the camera motion backed out. Funny. The laws of physics and inertia don't apply the same way to the Enterprise crew as they do to other people in space. How did the all get tossed in different directions?

#12 Re: 2/6-9/6 Enigma@Home challenge
You know, if we could get a few more teammates to join the comp, I think we could overtake Keep The Fire Alive! and hold 3rd.

#13 Re: 2/6-9/6 Enigma@Home challenge
You are probably right Scole, a few more team mates wouldn't go wrong.
However for the six of us taking part I think we're giving it a good go
It does look like I'm going to loose my second place team ranking to Alez though

Keeping the amphibians at bay is a big deal. And keeping 3rd a feasible goal is even bigger.
Hopefully a few more peeps will join in over the next few days.
Whatever, we are doing alright!

Just grabbed 10th
Unfortunately looks like my first computer down on this trip away already though. Seems they know when I'm not home
We are still ahead of the amphibians in 4th :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Things seems to have reached stability. If we keep this up 4th is an excellent finish for effectively 5 of us competing.
edit: my apologies, 7 of us have contributed in the last 24hrs now. Welcome to Scott Home, a new cruncher on this project. So there's me, scole, mega, paul, skywalker, Robert MacLennan and Scott Home on it
