Not one we often bother about. But I thought I'd weigh in for once. Bunkering=on

Bummer. Project will only give you 100 WUs per GPU. Not enough.

So now I actually have to set up a different crunching scheme on the project, etc, etc, moan, moan.... Ok , let's see if this works ....

Yup. Bunkering=Off againscole250 wrote:I'm in :pirate:

Under a day's worth of work on any half decent GPU certainly is not enough. The bunkering, such as it is, will have to be deferred until sometime tomorrow evening.

I went ahead and loaded up. It they finish before the challenge starts, it will give the house time to cool off for a bit

#7 Re: 6/5-10/5 CRUNCHATHLON PG [MONTHLY RUN - RACE III]
Why bunker ? start loading up on mr Pend Ding. Let others do the bunkering for you

Was actually going to do a wee bit, but then ended up spending the day cutting a tractor out of a fence and then rebuilding the fence. Nice one from my neighbour. Still can't quite figure out how he managed to get so stuck in my fence so well, that we had to remove the tractor with wirecutters. Good effort.scole250 wrote:That's the spirit Alez!Nice numbers though

Happy-ish with the numbers, but whilst I could do more, I think they will be getting reduced as it's getting too hot in the house as it's quite warm this week, but just a tad early to transfer systems from the house to the tech shed. Also need to clean out the tech shed. Been slating the roof this week so off to dump now with old window frames etc. The joys..... I need back to work, too tiring at home

The Krauts are off & out of sight!
And the Yanks are suddenly breathing down our necks.
But despite that we look sure of a podium finish.
Nae sae bad for a wee team! 8)
As scole says it's a good team effort but we really can't ignore his pre-eminence in our contribution to date!
But all hands to the pump to make sure we finish with a medal of some sort!
PS @Alez, Aren't you allowed to just keep the tractor in those circumstances? Sounds like you caught it, fair & square.

I was NOT driving the tractor, I wish to make this very clear.... As such it could be argued that it was ' foul hooked ' and hence had to be thrown back. In todays PC world it appears that catch and release is all the rage. I only fish when it's catch and BBQMegacruncher wrote:PS @Alez, Aren't you allowed to just keep the tractor in those circumstances? Sounds like you caught it, fair & square.

Keep up the good work all and Paul, go kick your GPU unless you are squirreling away a wee bunker drop .....

Not an intentional bunker drop, more a pending issue created by my lack of understanding of the app_info files and my "new" amd card/drivers, that means I'm crunching some of the long unitsAlez wrote:/snip

Currently experimenting with the app_inof file so we'll see what happens......

The Yankee hoard has passed us, but we're still doing well. Four of us in the top 25. And I have a Dukie on my 6

Well "new" in the primegrid world since none of the 280/290 cards work without faffing about with app_info files.Alez wrote: New ???? You have deserted team green and joined the dark side ???? Bwahahahahaha
I've always run amd cards but the new nvidia gtx1080 looks interesting!

Anyhoo, card choice aside, it looks as though with 18 hours to go our amphibian foes are too far behind to worry about (bronze is in the bag! :) ) but we are also gaining some of the ground lost to the Septic Tanks (silver is in sight! :) ). Go for it team!

The compare feature no longer works on the Boinc Stats team challenges but it looks like SUSA is staying a steady 2.2 mil ahead of us. Anyone have a secret 2.2 mil bunker they're holding back on?

I'm busy looking behind the sofa, maybe I should try down the side instead

We were a very close third. Just 7% behind second.
A good effort indeed.

If Alez had just look BETWEEN the cushions like I suggested he might have found that bunker. Heck, one time in college I found enough change between the cushions for a large Szechuan spicy chicken and 2 egg rolls.

I don't know how common calling the yanks septic tanks is but I've been hearing it a lot lately.
I do hope the seppo's understand rhyming slang and have a sense of humour :)

Septic tanks .... Bwahahahaha. A term of endearment used in the forces for years.
