Well done. :)
We really should organise ourselves to win these UOTD competitions: I sure that this is what everyone else does.
All we need is a rota for who should be UOTD for each project. We then all vote for those persons for each day and watch ourselves go from a useful 30th to the top 10 in no time at all!
What do you think?

First of all you have to create a profile for each project to enlist to be user of the day. With some sites its pot luck and with others you can actually cast a vote for a persons profile. To cast a vote you have to look at someones profile and you cast your vote by selecting that you like there profile.

Okay lets try it, by making me UOTD for Cosmology. Go here, read my profile, it's got a nice picture of Uranus on it
, and then click on "I like this profile".
And lets make Mike UOTD for Rosetta by doing the same thing.
We'll do this every day for the next week and see what happens!
Sorry dougdoug if you'd had any profiles I'd have used them in this experiment.

The need is none really, on the other hand the desire is infinite! The real question is how many you can afford or house?.... Had a look at your farm while I was there. Wow!

Glad to see that you're clicking and clicking although I doubt that they accept more than one vote from each IP address per day.

On a further note there is only 11 team members ever been UOTD and the team as a whole sits 30th overall.
We should encourage more people to raise a profile with there projects to get us noticed a little more......Team recruitment!

Or it might be one vote one computer, in which case I've got a busy night ahead of me!
Another one worth a click or 9 is Ravydavy for Chess960 UOTD . Chess960 is so quiet that it should be easy to rig the poll.

vote early vote often seems to work.
I have just clicked megacruncher's profile 10 [ten] times in less than a minute and each time got a "your vote has been recorded "
If I try it for the next few hours we may find out if it works. Rather than have the whole team disqualified for vote rigging , I will sacrifice myself if it goes pear shaped
If it works my profile is on Einstein.[it may take a day or so to be approved]
I have also been accepted on the yet-to-start Orbit@home profile page. This may or may not count when it reaches the magic amount, but they do have a u-o-t-d . 8)
