#1 Joining The Scottish Boinc Team

Post by Andrew »

Hey folks,
I'm just getting into BOINC, first time I've messed with SETI since the early days back in '98-'99 or there about :)

I'm just trying to get all my projects signed up to the The Scottish Boinc Team so the credits have some use. On BOINC Stats I'm trying to get Einstein@Home to connect through the "Teams" section but it's having none of it, after selecting the correct team it's saying "Result of join attempt
No team found"
But on the Einstein profile page it says I am connected successfully. Is this anything to worry about?

Also, any idea why the stats all show up differently in different places, different PC's show different stats, even after syncing at times, and BOINC stats shows differently than the numbers on my PC, or on each projects site. Does it take a while for everything to sync up? Like hours?

Cheers guys :D

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sometimes Boincstats can take a few days for all the stats to be brought together. Make sure you have used the same email address for all projects you have crunched for. If you have give it a day or two.

Cheers for the info, I've kept the same username all the way through so I guess it's just down to it needing time to sync up.

The most important thing is that you have used the same email address to register across all your projects as this will give you a CPID (cross-project ID) which is the important part for stats pages.

Hi Andrew, welcome to TSBT :D

I've been having a wee look around. You are with TSBT, as andrewpaterson, for Rosetta, and as Andrew for Einstein and Seti.

Do you have any other projects & what user names have you for them?

Yeah, I think thats just the display name that you're seeing there when it says "Andrew"
I signed up with the same username/email for them all, just for some reason I cant seem to find anywhere in Rosetta to be able to change the display name.

Things are starting to come in line now though, much more is working in BOINCStats now and the pie charts are showing more than just SETI.
Perhaps in another few days all will be well :)

If you go to this page you can change your name.

BoincStats will catch up - it just takes a day or two for everyting to filter through.

Oh yeah, Welcome to the team. :)
