But in case you've missed it tucked away in the "Gauntlet" bit, Buster Has overtaken me to become TSBT's foremost cruncher. Well done. It is an honour to be deposed by such a worthy foe!

I thought I'd resurrect this old thread to note the fact that once more I am TSBT top dog a mere 5 years 2 months and 8 days since Buster ended my previous reign, which in itself was not long before Merlyn appeared and changed everything.

A lot has happened since then.

Wow. Look who's back on top. I can remember the day I took it from you and shortly after that we both got run over by Merlyn. I knew that day you would never give up. It's been 5 1/6 years of great persistence.

Thanks Buster! Those are fine sentiments which I gratefully & humbly accept. :)

Of course persistence, perseverance or, if you will, doggedness, are central to my renewed pre-eminence: But without the luck of remaining alive and healthy, and being able to afford the 'lecky bills my tenacity would have counted for nothing.

My delight at being back on top is tempered by the knowledge that if Merlyn were alive I'd have no chance. Conversely I take great comfort from knowing that you are back in the saddle, working your way up through the peloton!
