#1 Moving on up
I thought I'd start a new thread for position changes, as the another 1 bites the dust is getting a bit long and confused.
We are now 41st in the world, passing Universe examiners

195,000,000 Now!
:wav:
Our RAC seems to be holding up above 600 K despite two of our star performers being laid low by health or economic woes.
We can expect to be up in 39th overall by the end of this month.
Crunch on and on!

I'll be damn near sixty by the time my kids are both teenagers so no doubt I'll have to wait until my life is nearly over before it restarts. When kids turn into teenagers

On a less controversial note we have now passed 205 million. OcUK, the UK #2, are just 72 million ahead. Let's go get!

210 Million Now! :wav:
Of course, with over 1.4 million in the last 24hrs, we can expect the milestones to whizz by now! So I for one would consider a :wav: every 10 million (=1 week at current rates) to be quite sufficient!

It doesn't seem that long ago that you were upset cos we wanted to stop counting every million that passed! How the times change....So I for one would consider a :wav: every 10 million (=1 week at current rates) to be quite sufficient!

Oh, and I agree with the 10mill markers!

37th Place Now!
which, out of 80,650 teams, is respectable enough.
Further gains are imminent! :wav:
We are also up to 11th by RAC.

Only if you do US math :)
UK Maths a billion would be a million million i.e. 10 to the power 12 or a trillion in US math.
But heh the US Billion seems to be prevalent now.

The fight was officially surrendered by Harold Wilson on behalf of the UK government in 1974 as this fascinating article describes : 34 years later I reckon it is time to accept it & move on!But heh the US Billion seems to be prevalent now.
Anyhoo at current rates it would take us another 450 years to rack up quarter of 10^12 so 10^9 is a bit more attractive.

Target hit!We have 8th by RAC in our sights.
Our RAC of 1,599,834 is now so vast as to place us ahead of all but 7 other teams.
We are UK #1 by a huge margin by RAC and according to Temujin's excellent stats we could be #1 by total credit by summer 2010!

No1. in UK for Milkyway ! (Maybe we knew that but I cannot remember when it happened lol)

But were back down to 9th in the world by RAC. Seems the GPUGrid outage may be playing into others hands.

Two days later and it's 31st in the World
:wav:
and an amazing 2nd in the UK!!
:wav:
:wav:
And if that isn't good enough for you, the BS predictor shows us moving up again in another two days, despite dropping back to a mere 9th by RAC.

Yup, the Planatary Society are, according to Boincstats, just 264K ahead of us and have an RAC more than a million less than ours. Temujins stats (more or less live) give us a half a million more than Boincstats. It's in the bag!
PS I see you are crunching again - 23K since midnight. 8)

Woohoo!
The rate of climb up the rankings cannot possibly continue as it did over the last week. Even with Milkyway's new found austerity our numerical rise shouldn't slow much however and our first half billion should roll by sometime in September! 8)
