PS Of course what we need is a GPU version for one or more of the WCG projects.
.... if it's IBM behind the scenes they'll be waiting for OpenCL to go a little faster... which would be good news for macbooks if they didn't already work like electric frying pans on CPU only... :?

I"m in

Although may be reduced for a while took out the garage mains supply this afternoon
KW > thickness of wire .....
will have it back up and running by the weekend
Bound to happen sooner or later I suppose. :?
If I'd a garage I'd stuff it full of PCs until the place was uninhabitable (who want's to inhabit a garage anyway, and I don't know anyone who keeps a car in theirs).

Get those wires replaced with copper bars & get those PCs back online. Can't you take them into the house in the meantime? It is winter after all!

All right, Collatz is in a good place, so I re-joined WCG a little early.

Let's see what we can do for her!

'Bessy' is singing away this weekend.

The migrating birds decided not to go and are nesting under the aircon out pipe :)

Still going to be SIMAP in the main, it seems to be running full time at the moment, but I'll put the WCG on alongside :)

Nothing wrong with grabbing some Simap units when they are available. All the other teams will!
And I've got that 100K to grab.
We can afford a few distractions for WCG which is holding up quite nicely. We should be 125th by next week. The important thing is that enough of us make enough of a long-term commitment to WCG that it can eventually make its way back into the top 100 fold. As we are 77th by RAC just now I am confident that we can do this.

SIMAP appears to be out of work, so I'm gonna have at least 6 cores on WCG as of thursday.
