Every night I sit down at the computer and try and sift through 100-150 registrations to join this forum. Most are selling things, pornography, sexual dysfunction medication or, not uncommonly, themselves.

Hardly anyone ever confirms their registration - that's robots for you, no sticking power. So most of my TSBT admin time, rather than devising an ever whizzier web site is spent deleting accounts from people called things like jkzoedlavgra78 claiming to be from eritrea or antartica and linking to polish porn sites.

So it with great pleasure I announce two genuine forum members John Black & Gary Mc. :wav: :wav:

Be nice if the Bots could be harnessed to grid computing instead of waisting all that resource.

Just popped in to say Hi!

As a Scot in exile (England) it is nice to support a Scottish team when away from home.

Hopefully over the next few weeks (months, years) I will be able to move up the ranks so those above me had better give me a wave as I pass them.

Try google. That's the thing, if you want to view p0rn or want to buy v14gra then you'll go look for it. So why do they queue up to post adverts for it here?

Megacruncher I have no idea why they wish to post adverts here, Maybe it's because The Scottish Boinc Team is so cool & sexy that they just want a piece of the action LOL

HI, like i said before I am not a bot. Just an exile back home after 30 years wandering in the wilderness with 3 old laptops capable of doing some light numbercrunching. My other PCs are way to old, well one is actually my newest but it is a RISC computer and they don't do sums so good.

And sorry about the delay in sifting you from the porn-bots. When it comes to managing the forum the chaff:wheat ratio is somewhat daunting!

Light number crunching is good: Unlike the 'lecky-leeching efforts of over-equiped zealots like me [and some other forum regulars, you know who you are! ] it provides incidental benefit to mankind for no cost. Which is what BOINC is supposed to be about. WTG!
